She Wrote A Letter To DC Comics Asking For More Female Superheroes. This Is How They Responded

A fifth-grader from Illinois who loves superheroes sent a letter to DC Comics – whose characters include Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman – to ask if there could be more female characters.

“I love your comics,” 11 year-old Rowan Hansen wrote, “but I would love them a lot more if there were more girls.”

DC Comics responded to Rowan’s letter on Twitter.

Thanks Rowan. We agree, we’re working hard to create more superhero fun for girls!

As DC Comics pointed out on Twitter, a Wonder Woman movie is in the works, as a well as a Supergirl television show.
